Mobile Marketing is a booming industry right now and that is only expected to grow exponentially in the future. As with any newly developing market, the jobs that are required to carry out the tasks do not yet exist or need to be tweaked from previously existing positions. People will need to either move from related positions into the new jobs or become educated and trained from the ground up to fill these spots. As the marketplace continues to develop, more people will be necessary to fill various strategic and creative positions. Some of these jobs will be more necessary than others and will become high demand positions subject to a healthy dose of competition between firms to retain the best and the brightest. The following four positions are jobs that are emerging in the new mobile marketing landscape and will become regular positions in many organizations in the near future.

What Are The Types Of Mobile Marketing Jobs

1. Mobile Marketing Strategist

A Mobile Marketing Strategist is the person that makes the key tactical decisions in the mobile marketing campaign. Essentially, the project manager, the person in this position will need to have a great deal of knowledge about the marketplace and mobile marketing strategy and implementation. This person doesn’t just make recommendation for strategy, they need to have the expertise to make recommendations and guide the client on decisions throughout the entire process. This includes guiding them towards the best application development and vendor engagement options for their campaign. In addition, a position like this will require strong market research skills and the ability to digest large amount of industry and market data into actionable recommendations and best practices. The Mobile Marketing Strategist position is a very demanding position that calls for a high level of expertise. Despite the pressure a position like this will cause, the rewards are also just a high.

2. Mobile Application Developer

A Mobile Application Developer is the person that creates the applications for the mobile platform on which the campaign will be deployed. There are two basic types of mobile application development, so a developer should be familiar with one or both of the processes. The first is taking existing applications, for example web applications for use on a computer through the internet, and converting that application into one that can be used through a mobile phone. The conversion process is not as easy as it might initially sound and requires multiple techniques to accomplish. A new user interface must be designed and implemented, though the back end processes may stay very similar. The second is to develop an entirely new mobile application for use with the mobile marketing campaign or advertising effort. A new mobile application will be required for each new platform that the application will be deployed on, such as the iPhone, Android, or Blackberry. The developer must be skilled in several programming languages, specifically Java, HTML, Flash, and the C programming languages are the most effective and in demand when developing applications for mobile marketing campaigns on hand-held devices.

3. Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager position can vary from organization to organization. In general, this is the person that will be managing the day-to-day operations of the mobile marketing campaign. While the strategist devises the overall plan and methods of conducting the campaign, the social media manager will be in charge of ensuring those instructions are followed through. Another aspect of the Social Media Manager in some organizations will be to manage the social aspects of the mobile web properties. Mobile campaigns are increasingly becoming two-way streets, with consumers sending information back to the company as well as the company sending advertisements and information to the consumer. In addition, mobile campaigns lend themselves to social interaction and this must be managed to make sure that the interactions stay in line with the vision and intent of the campaign and are not derailed.

4. Media Buyer

One of the main ways of conducting a mobile campaign is by purchasing advertising on an already existing mobile advertising network. Companies such as Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft have developed their own advertising networks and this composes a considerable part of their income. Making keyword purchase decisions can be a critical choice when developing a mobile marketing campaign, as the keywords should be relevant and engaging to the consumer. In addition, the ads should be placed in the network with relevant content to the target audience to increase their engagement with the campaign. This responsibility lies with the media buyer.

The jobs will be on the cutting edge of emerging mobile marketing jobs and will become commonplace in organizations trying to develop or maintain a mobile presence. Statistics show that more people own mobile devices than credit cards. It is only a matter of time before all businesses large and small realize that they will need to develop a presence on the mobile web and start hiring for these positions. Right now the mobile marketing field is wide open with no one company claiming dominance. As the field becomes more developed then it will be more difficult to move into these positions as the requirements will be higher than ever. Now is the time to develop the ability and knowledge to compete in the emerging mobile marketing job market.

Construction jobs are back with a bang ruling the job markets again. Recession and its after effects are over which has resulted in huge investments in infrastructure again. This in turn has made a huge market for construction worker careers. Though the job is quite a challenging one and has risk factors involved if you do well the hard work really pays off. Here are 7 simple steps to being successful in construction jobs:

1) Academic Qualifications: Some of the construction careers do not require specific qualifications but others do. If you want to be an architect, a civil or an electrical engineer you will first need to get the right academic degrees. So plan in advance and get all the education required to get into a particular wing of construction jobs.

2) Build Confidence and Trust: If you are at a managerial position in construction careers you will first need to generate a feeling of confidence and trust in your fellow workers. You should excel in leadership qualities and your subordinates should always respect you and follow your instructions to the letter. This however is only possible if the workers have confidence and trust in you. It takes years to generate this trust.

3) Roles: A good manager should clearly specify all the roles of every individual in the construction team. The workers should be aware of what is expected of them and what chores they are responsible for. Hold regular meetings to cross check the performance of workers and if they are performing what is expected of them. Use these meetings to solve any problems which arise in the construction process.

4) Plan: You will need to have an efficient plan for the day, week and henceforth. Planning skills are absolutely necessary in construction business. Plan all your activities in advance and concentrate all your resources in the skillful execution of the plan.

5) Adapt: You will not get the best or the friendliest of work ambiance on every project. Do not try to change situations. It never works. It is a much better idea to change yourself to adapt to the situation instead. The challenges are many and they will all test you in the construction management careers. You need to manage change and also make sure that it in no way affects the other workers on the site.

6) Open conversation: Commercial construction careers require you to have an open conversation link directly with all the workers. Make sure that you are good at communicating both orally and in other forms. If you maintain good conversational links with the other workers it is obvious that they will share their ideas and problems with you which will mean that there will be a flow of positive vibes at the site and work will move on smoothly.

7) Work with honesty and determined efforts: Remember be it construction worker careers or road construction careers there are no short cuts to success. Hark word will alone take you to the top. So stop looking for short cuts and keep striving to hard work for meeting goals.

By Natasha Bright

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has a beautiful way of describing systems analysts. They define them as people who use computers to get things done. In other words, they usually are the decision makers on not only what computers and software to buy, but how to integrate possible disparate systems and make them work together. Not surprisingly, for those so familiar with computers, many got started with a distance degree from an online college.

In more technical terminology, computer systems analysts use information technology to help enterprises of all sizes achieve their goals. They may design and develop new computer systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software, or they may devise ways to apply existing systems’ resources to additional tasks.

Most systems analysts work with specific types of computer systems, such as business, accounting, and financial systems or scientific and engineering systems that vary with the kind of organization. Analysts who specialize in helping an organization select the proper system hardware and software are often called system architects or system designers. Analysts who specialize in developing and fine-tuning systems often have the more general title of systems analysts.

Employers usually prefer applicants who have at least a bachelors degree. For more technically complex jobs, people with post-graduate degrees are preferred. For jobs in a technical or scientific environment, employers often seek applicants who have at least a bachelors degree in computer science, information science, applied mathematics, engineering, or the physical sciences. They also look for applicants with at least a bachelors degree in a business-related field such as management information systems. Increasingly, employers are seeking individuals who have a MBA’s with a concentration in information systems.

Students can go to on campus and online colleges for their degree. It should be noted that many online schools offer programs that are as competitive as brick and mortal schools. Further, as systems analysts are considered a STEM (science, tech, engineering, math) profession, financial aid is available not only through standard federal and state resources, but also one can get S-STEM scholarships from the National Science Foundation and from professional societies and for-profit corporations.

With experience, systems analysts get promoted to senior or lead analyst. Those who possess leadership ability and good business skills also become computer and information systems managers or even executive positions such as chief information officer. If staying inside a corporate structure isn’t one’s ultimate goal, many find lucrative careers as independent consultants and/or starting their own computer consulting firms.

The average salary of a systems analyst is in the $75,000 range. The upper 10% of analysts earn over $110,000. With the occupation come a number of highly attractive benefits, including insurance, retirement and investment programs, education packages and other perks. Growth in the field is also expected to be faster than average at over 20% for the next decade.

For a career that specializes in computer systems, a distance degree makes a good deal of sense. System analysts are doing a great job of figuring out and integrating the complexity of computers, the backbone for so much of society. An associate of science degree is something well worth talking to one’s career advisor about.

By Louise G

The Telecommunications field can be easy to get into if you know what kind of job you are looking for and knowing exactly what you want and have the skills to do. There are many different roles in this sector such as sales executives, call center executives, back office executives and technical support executives. The back office executives are great for youths since it is a promising career as well as the call center. Technical support jobs are also in huge demand since they need people that are well equipped on troubleshooting for IT problems and many companies are always looking for one since customers do call for technical support on a regular basis.

There are many companies in the United States and the UK that may well be hiring at the current moment such as at Comcast, Clearwire or even at Verizon just to name a few and British Telecom in the UK. Figure out what you are good at, such as good people skills which will help for the sales executive positions. They need people to help close business deals for the company or even find more leads of potential customers and increase sales from existing clients. If you are good at solving technical support for computer or maybe phone purposes, why not use that knowledge that you have and help as many people as you can by working in such a position?

And as for finding jobs online on the internet, there are many job search engines to consider, particularly google. If you like the idea of checking them all out, type in the job positions of your choice in the job search engine section and they would pop up the results just like on Google. Sometimes you have to be much more specific when using their advance feature would benefit you compare to using the regular one. There are several specialist Job boards and Jobsites that focus on opportunities in Telecommunications positions both in the UK, USA and around the world. It is free to register with the majority and you are able to upload your CV/Resume and may well be headhunted if you have previous experience and good skills.

There are many customer service phone jobs that can be done at home depending on the company’s policy on whether they are hiring independent contractors or as a employee. Decide first on whether you want to work at home or at the headquarter of the company. You may feel quite isolated working from home but may be able to do hours to suit

By Kathryn Lively

You’ve come away from school with an accounting degree and a number of references ready to help you secure a great first job. Wonderful! Where do you look? For the type of career you want, be it something relevant to finance and banking, or perhaps in the tax management realm – you may not find what you’re looking for in the local newspaper. Granted, you don’t want to leave any stone unturned during your initial job search, but for a specialized field as yours there are a number of resources you should consult. Let’s take a closer look at some of them.

1) Niche Internet Job Banks. Check “accounting jobs” on your favorite search engine and you are certain to find a number of Internet job sites where you can register and upload your resume. Some will suggest it’s a good idea to cover your bases and apply through as many as possible, but the sites devoted to jobs available in your field should be your first stop. You’ll find that niche job banks for accounting and related positions have exactly what you need – jobs for which you are qualified are gathered in one place, and you have access to resources to help you become more acclimated to an accounting atmosphere.

2) General Job Search Sites. Once you have exhausted the niche job banks, general headhunter sites are a good supplemental stop on your job search. Some companies may have an existing relationship with these sites, and you may find open positions that weren’t listed elsewhere.

3) Accounting News Sites and Other Media. If you take any journals or other periodicals about your industry, check sites and message boards for possible job listings. Companies interested in hiring are likely to advertise where they feel they can find their target audience.

4) Company Websites. If you have a specific firm or company in mind, you may wish to check their websites for a human resources page. Some businesses will list available positions with instructions on how to apply.

5) Job Fairs. Check with your university for information on upcoming job fairs. Fairs are a great way to get a feel for what job recruiters want to see in potential candidates, and they make for good practice in communicating with people in HR.

Once you have decided how to begin your job search, make sure your resume is updated along with contact information for your references.

At the very outset, let me tell you that sales jobs are not for everyone. Not everyone has what it takes to do a sales job. It’s a lot more than sweet talking people into buying the products you have been assigned to market. It’s a lot more the meeting your target for the week, the month or even a longer period. How you perform at your entry level sales job (s) will tell you whether you are meant for this field or not.

Here’s the thing about sales. Particular people, having very special types of personalities are suited for this job. If you have what it takes, then you will do extremely well. Succeeding in sales jobs will demand a lot more of you than the textbook knowledge that most freshers will have. It’s a lot more about experience and communication. Here are some tips which will get you going in the right direction.

Handy Tips

• Firstly, set a target for yourself. If your boss has an unrealistic target for you, then, chances are, he won’t expect you to be able to fulfill it anyway, so don’t stress too much about it. Try to get as close to it as you can, but at the same time, don’t be unrealistic.

• Medical sales jobs and software sales jobs are the most common type of sales jobs around, because, let’s face it, who doesn’t need medicines and software is essential for virtually any kind of business. For these jobs, let me tell you, you will face a lot of competition, so you need to give yourself an edge over the competition with your confidence. That’s really important and not only for these kinds of sales jobs.

• Another thing about sales jobs is, sales is a lot about reading people and communicating right. You have to be able to portray your product in its best light, while, at the same time, not lie to your target customer. And always keep that smile in place.

• Brace yourself for rejection. Yeah, that’s right; you need to be prepared to hear the word “No” from people in a regular basis. Don’t get disheartened and most importantly, don’t take it personally. It’s not about you; it’s just the product that they don’t like. Even if you have to deal with a particularly rude customer, do remember to be polite.

• Make yourself a to-do list every morning before you get to work. That will ensure that you are a lot more organized when in the field and it will make your work a whole lot easier for you.

• Another thing you can do is keep a diary and go over all the things you have done every day. That way, you can identify all the mistakes that you made on a particular day and analyze why you didn’t do so well. It will ensure that you don’t repeat this.

Sales management jobs aren’t easy, but if you learn the tricks of the trade, you’ll actually find that you are enjoying yourself.

With today’s turbulent economy, not all careers are stable and a high percentage of employees employed by big name corporations are being laid off. With the unemployment rate on a rise, more and more individuals are shifting their focus from full-time employment to full-time schooling. Computer engineering jobs are very desirable and are one of the most stable jobs to this date because of the nation’s heavy reliance on computers and software programs. Understand the nature of the position and the education and training you must complete and enter a career that is certain during uncertain times.

If you are considering entering the engineering workforce, you should have a passion for computers and information technology. Computer software engineers are responsible for developing and maintaining computer software programs that consist of coded instructions spoken in computer language. While some engineering jobs are in government offices and schools, others are found in the manufacturing and engineering industry. These engineers should not only enjoy working with computers, they should also be skilled in mathematics, analysis, and science.

Generally, engineers in this career field will fall into two different categories: computer software application engineers and computer software systems engineers. Different knowledge and programming languages are required for each category. While the education and training students learn will cover both of these topics, you will need to decide which category is more interesting to you when applying for positions.

To become a computer software engineer, you must attend school. Most employers today will require that applicants have a college education and a degree in computer science and/or software engineering. While a graduate degree is generally preferred, not all employers require this. Obtaining a graduate degree will make you more desirable to employers throughout the application process.

Hands on experience in computer engineering is also preferred when applying to big name corporations. If you are fresh out of college, you may want to consider accepting an internship before applying for computer engineering jobs. While some employers will hire students fresh out of school, you can expect lower pay until you prove yourself, your knowledge, and your skills. Once you gain experience, you will be promoted out of a trainee position to a full-fledged computer software engineer.

The salary range for engineering jobs involving computer science will vary depending on where you live and who you are working for. With a positive outlook in this career, computer engineering has become a popular major in schools today. Prepare for a better future and begin training to become a computer engineer by enrolling in school and putting in the effort.

There are many types of engineering jobs. Most, if not all, require a person to have some creative skills, as well as mathematical and scientific expertise. The types of engineers are broadly classified as mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical. There are many subcategories. In all of these fields, people must try to design and build things to solve problems and, hopefully, make society better. They must do this by keeping in mind just how feasible their design will be to build and if it is worth the cost.

A mechanical engineer is one who has been trained to design mechanical systems, and practices designing mechanical systems. They may work on vacuum technology, power systems, transportation products, weapon systems, aircraft, kinematic chains, vibration isolation, or any other physical machine. An electrical engineer works on a rather large number of electrical items and systems. This includes telecommunications, computers, fiber optics, electronic circuits, electronic devices, electromagnetic devices, generators, circuits, and many others.

If somebody goes into civil engineering they will likely help to design and construct structures the public uses daily. They also work on structures for private individuals. Their job description may involve large buildings, bridges, roads, water supply, railroads, water treatment systems and other structures we all use. A chemical engineer works with chemical processing, usually on a large scale. They may develop new types of fuel, which are hopefully better and less polluting than what people are using now.

All of these engineering jobs usually require a large amount of education. How much will depend largely on the field and subcategory one chooses. A relatively new growing field is software engineering. In this field, a person will help improve software in hopes of making it better and cheaper. Someone in an environmental field works with water treatment and its impact on the environment. If somebody is in the agricultural field, they might be involved in chemical or mechanical engineering, depending on if they are making machines for agricultural purposes, or something animal or plant biology related. They help with devising better ways to make food available for people and livestock.

A person’s interest will help them decide which field to pursue. If somebody grew up playing with boats, they may like marine engineering where they can try to build a better boat. If somebody likes to play with Legos and blocks, they may like to go into the architectural field. There they can use their passion for building to make marvelous structures and overcome many building problems. They will also work on making structures that are safe from all kinds of weather and natural disasters.

All of these fields of engineering jobs are involved in making things better. A sales engineer is almost like a glorified sales person, but they are highly educated and more able to help consumers make good purchasing decisions and use their products. They are the ones who help with troubleshooting today’s troublesome technology. These jobs may take a lot of training, but the right people can get this done.

Are you a business management degree holder who is looking for work? Although there are many job search tools at your fingertips, one is commonly overlooked. That is Craigslist.org. Craigslist is a popular classified website and service. In addition to for sale products, you will also find open job positions, many of which are in the field of business management.

To find business management jobs on Craigslist, you must first visit the website. On the main page, select your state and then city. To browse available jobs in business management, look for the jobs sections. To search, use the search box on the left side of the page. Change your default search settings to jobs. Search with related keyword phrases. Get started with business management, business, management, or manager. If looking for one-time gigs, instead of full-time positions, search with the phrase project manager.

In addition to searching or browsing the Craigslist.org website for business manager and project manager positions, you can also post your resume in their resumes section. The easiest approach is to copy and paste your already written resume from Microsoft Word, as this program has a spell check feature. You may need to tinker with the layout to ensure your resume is intact and easy to read. The Craigslist resume section is one giant section, where all resumes are posted at once. To make it easier for employers to find your resume, write a detailed headline that describes your training, experience, and job preferences. This would be management.

As you likely already know, business management and project manager jobs come in many different formats. As great as working from home sounds, you must be on the lookout for scams. You don’t necessarily want to avoid work-at-home management jobs, but use your best judgment. Avoid common pyramid scams, where you basically paid just for recruiting other sellers. Also be on the lookout for false promises, lucky these are easy to spot. Although management positions do pay well, it is unlikely that you will make thousands of dollars in one day. These are usually nothing more than a trap to get you to pay a training fee or acquire your personal information.

As previously stated, you can get started with a standard search on Craigslist, but you are limited. Craigslist prohibits multi-city searches. If you want to search all cities for jobs or are interested in relocating for the right job and pay, you should download a desktop search tool that enables you to search all of Craigslist as well as other classified websites.
